Services

  • Evaluations

A comprehensive assessment, which will be summed up in a thorough report detailing strengths and areas where support is recommended. Suggestions for additional testing or professionals to team up with, if needed (occupational therapy, physical therapy, developmental pediatricians, counselors, etc.). An evaluation will determine whether or not speech therapy is needed and how often. Evaluations are 1-2 hrs long and typically provided in-person. I typically spend an additional 2-4 hours coordinating the eval, writing the report, scoring your assessment, and creating a personalized plan of care. I will recap initial findings and things you can do right away to begin promoting speech-language skills.

  • Therapy sessions

As a certified speech-language pathologist, I will lead you in therapeutic activities to meet your goals. Sessions are one on one with the client, but also involve members of your support system, if available. For pediatric clients, caregivers and parents are coached on evidence-based strategies to cultivate better communication. Sessions are conducted in person at client’s homes, daycare center, school, or community settings. Virtual sessions offer a great option for people who are outside of our service area. Every session is customized to be engaging, fun, and practical for clients. We work hard during sessions to practice target skills that have not yet emerged or require additional support. Most sessions are 45 minutes long, but recommendations are made on a case-by-case basis. You will leave each session with recommendations and resources on how to cultivate growth towards your goals between sessions.
